Trash Talk: November Empties

November felt like the shortest month so far this year! Anyone with me? I was still able to use up quite a bit so let's jump in to these goodies.

First up is the Lorac Pro Mascara which I won't take up too much time reviewing since I just featured this in last month's favorites. Main points are that it's a HUGE fluffy wand which took a while to get used to, but once I did, I was pleasantly surprised. The brush and lightweight formula really allowed building up volume and combing every lash.
As I've probably by this point overly shared, my lashes are pretty crappy and get weighed down by practically every mascara on the face of the planet. This one was no different. I like to use a waterproof mascara underneath regular mascaras to keep my lashes lifted throughout the day and I really enjoyed this one that way.
Unfortunately, I had this one sit in the back of a drawer for too long :( so it dried out pretty quick and started to flake. Definitely would pick this up again once I've exhausted my mascara stash.

The Boscia Cool Cleansing Oil was another favorited item back in August. I ping ponged between this and my usual Philosophy Cleansing Oil and I have to say that I (not so) secretly enjoyed this one more! I purchased mine at the Sephora tiny temptations maze before checkout for $10 ($30 for full size). I'll definitely have to pick up another small bottle to alternate between my fave :) I so enjoyed the smell and the fact that it has a pump! Be sure to check out my August Faves post to read my thorough review.

How cute is this tiny Batiste Dry Shampoo?! I had never tried the Blush scent, so I was pretty pumped to receive it in an Ipsy Glam Bag. Overall, my experience with the Batiste line has been pretty consistent. All of the scents I've tried have consistently worked out, giving my hair longer wear without getting so oily or flat between washes. It's great for adding volume on clean hair as well! The scent of this one passed my snobby sniffer's test with its fruity freshness. I'll definitely be purchasing this one again.

Mad Hippie is a brand that I had heard of around social media, famous for its all natural good-for-you ingredients. I encourage anyone that would like to incorporate natural brands into their routine to check them out. They also donate $1 from every web sale to wildlife conservation causes which I think is very telling at the type of ethics they practice. Let's also not forget that their packaging is friggin' adorable ahhh! If you'd like to try the brand at a lower cost, they currently have some bundle deals going on over on their websitedrugstore.com also carries them, often offering discounts as well.

I've also mentioned this Mad Hippie Eye Cream in my August Favorites post where I go into detail about my experience with the product, but just know that I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sinks in quickly, great ingredients, easily accessible hydration, and has a pump. I'm excited to try more from the brand!

I've gone through so many of Mario Badescu's Facial Sprays that I've lost count lol. Love this for refreshing and hydrating my skin when it's particularly parched, aggravated or when it's so sensitive to products that I need a very light little sumthin' to hydrate yet let my skin breathe. I dunnoโ€ฆthis stuff is simply a must for me, plus, it smells amazingggg. I'm currently working on a jumbo bottle from Hautelook.

Next up is another small Clinique Moisture Surge pot that I purchased from ACW a while back. I like ordering smaller versions of this moisturizer because they're so convenient for travel, but it looks like they're fresh out. I've since ordered the travel size squeeze tube from Ulta which is much more travel friendly.
Great Stuff! Very good for sensitive skin and it has an almost slippy gel consistency that is so easy for your skin to drink up. I was struggling for a while there with moisturizers and this is just the thing I reach for in between my go-to Philosophy products. To read my review from a prior Empties post, click here.

Burt's Beesus! By far this is my favorite lip balm by Burt's Bees. It's made with bee's wax instead of jellies (like a lot of trendy products such as Nivea or EOS do) that actually dry out your lips once the oily film dissipates. The Pomegranate version of this balm is my favorite because it gives just the right tint to my lips without making them look done up at all. I use this morning and night and it really just gets the job done. Nothing more and nothing less, it's just an all around solid contribution to my daily routine. I recently purchased a Burt's Bees holiday trio from Ulta on Black Friday that I've been really enjoying, but I'm sure I'll come back to this guy :)

Another Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion has been added to an empties. I feel like I mention this product every other day haha. It's a great product and smells lovely. I have come to trust the Mario Badescu brand as a whole quite a bit which is really exciting to me. If any of you have any recommendations, let me know! I'd love to venture into different avenues. To read previous reviews of mine for this product, click here and here.

Saving sexy for last ;) The Rusk Being Sexy Hairspray is hands down my favorite for a hold that's still touchable. I have quite fine hair and get a lot of flyaways and this guy works beautifully! The nozzle releases a fine mist that doesn't weigh your hair down and it smells amazinggggg. Very fresh but almost perfume-like that lasts all day. I like to pop into my local Marshall's to see if they have them on offer. I think I got this one for $7 bucks and have since purchased another for $9 and 2 mini travel sizes for $3 each. Not too shabby ;)

That's it, Loves! After last month's super crazy empties, I was worried I wasn't going to finish enough to post about this time around, but I'm totally on a roll here haha.

Keep scrolling to view related IG posts and a few bonus empties :)

Be sure to find me on Instagram if you haven't already. So excited that I had nothing but hits this month :D What are some of the things that worked out for you?

Mixing old faves and newbies today! I'm on a red lips kick at the moment and had totally forgotten about this Kat Von D Foiled Love Lipstick in Beranice ๐Ÿ˜

Hey hey lovelies ๐Ÿ˜€ and a warm welcome to all my newbies! Looking forward to getting to know everyone better ๐Ÿ’— Continuing with my #SampledOut saga, I've used up the @mariobadescu Peptide Renewal Cream foil to the. last. drop๐Ÿ’ง It left me wishing I had more! My skin felt much more supple, hydrated, and brighter after use and it couldn't have come at a better time. As you can probably tell, I've been selecting samples that are meant to quench thirsty skin as my face has been feeling a bit tight and irritated as of late. ๐Ÿ”ธThe full 1 oz. jar will set you back about $35 and you can purchase it on their website, Ulta, Nordstrom, & Amazon. ๐Ÿ”ธThe foil packet suggests it's designed for combination, dry/dehydrated, and sensitive skin types, but I'd add in aging skin as well ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ”ธMeant to fight signs of aging by lifting and firming, nourishes and hydrates, balances and restores while improving skin clarity. I also have acne prone skin and found this to be soothing, calming, and light enough to hydrate while not clogging pores. ๐Ÿ”ธThe consistency is a lotion/cream hybrid that I found to be light enough to wear under makeup or on its own in the evening after serums. ๐Ÿ”ธThis is definitely going on my wishlist for tough times like these where my skin needs a quick pick-me-up! As always, let's share our thoughts! ๐Ÿ’ž If you've given this product a try, let all of us know what your experience was. Did you love it or have you found something similar that you enjoyed more?

My #SampledOut saga continues! ๐Ÿ˜Š You guys, I friggin' L O V E this! ๐Ÿ’“ I've been battling some intense skin dehydration lately (not cute) as I switched moisturizers in efforts to use up what I have in my stash. This Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask has been a godsend ๐Ÿ™โœจ It has just about completely replenished my skin after only one use. I purchased this foil sample at #ulta a while back and am kicking myself for not trying it sooner! ๐Ÿ”นA full size 3.3 oz. product is available for $23 on #TheBodyShop website, but shhh...just between us, I've found it on sale @ultabeauty for $17.60 (originally $22) ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ”นSuitable for all skin types. ๐Ÿ”นApplies like a lotion, let it sit for a suggested 10 minutes and tissue off. I like to press it into the skin instead of swiping it off. ๐Ÿ”นThis product is vegetarian, not tested on animals, fair trade & contains no phthalates, no triclosan, and no GMO (does contain soybean) ๐Ÿ‘ I think I can squeeze another use outta this, so I'm pretty pumped lol ๐Ÿ˜„

Hey babes ๐Ÿ˜‰ I had asked what I should do with my samples stash and a few of you voted on mini reviews. Time to deliver! I'm kicking off this #SampledOut series with the @lafreshgroup Good Night Night Cream received in an #ipsy glam bag. I ๐Ÿ’™ this stuff! Very lightweight, great for sensitive skin, unscented, and really kept my skin in check after running out of my moisturizer. The fact that it was lightweight and very hydrating made so that my skin could benefit from the product and not flip out by clogging pores. I generally get nervous with night creams for that very reason. No one wants face gremlins ๐Ÿ˜›โœ‹ All of this is amazing on its own, but HUGE props to them for creating a product that's not only effective, but mostly natural, biodegradable, and cruelty free!๐Ÿ‘ I'd definitely be interested in purchasing the full size. Have any of you tried this from your glam bag? What did you think?

Very happy with my #ipsyglambag this month ๐Ÿ˜€ I think I'm most excited about the nail polish and liner. What'd you get?

Is anyone still awake/ are you just waking up? ๐Ÿ™‹ I've been working hard on some exciting stuff I'll be sharing tomorrow ๐Ÿ’“ but for now, time for this girl to (finally) take this face off and hit the sack ๐Ÿ˜ด Have you tried this cleansing oil? I'll be using it for the first time tonight ๐Ÿ˜€

How it's June already? I don't know. I do know that means #Empties time! ๐Ÿ˜Š lol ๐Ÿ”ธ#MarioBadescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream (sample size) I found to be incredibly hydrating. I would use it when I found other products weren't rich enough. Would purchase the full size. ๐Ÿ”ธAlso from MB, I've finished up another Facial Spray. This was a massive 8 oz. bottle๐Ÿ’• I use it morning & night after cleansing to add hydration and prep for skincare. Already repurchased. ๐Ÿ”ธBack to top, a sample of the #Caudalie Premier Cru - The Eye Cream. Also enjoyed this & found it hydrating/easy to absorb, but I'm not crazy about the $99 price tag for the full size ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Was nice to try, though! ๐Ÿ”ธ#LauraMercier Mineral Foundation Primer I loved under my Bare Minerals loose mineral foundation. It provided a non greasy base for the powder to adhere to. Would repurchase. ๐Ÿ”ธIf you're looking for a physical face exfoliator, GET THIS. The #Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub (sample size) was unreal, holy grail status. A very fine grit that effectively removes dead skin and impurities without irritating even blemished skin! Your skin feels brand new afterwards. A 100% repurchase for me. ๐Ÿ”ธThe #LAcolors liquid makeup in Creamy Beige was a bust ๐Ÿ‘Ž Curiosity took over when I saw it at the dollar store, but I've gotta be honest and say this never made it to my face. Swatched it on my hand and it felt greasy with hardly any coverage. ๐Ÿ”ธThe #UrbanDecay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (sample size) is my favorite eye primer hands down. Really locks in shadows & prevents creasing as well as color fade even for oily lids. Already repurchased. ๐Ÿ”ธ#ELF Eye Refresh is a cooling gel applied with a rollerball to your undereye area to help reduce puffiness. I don't typically struggle with this & I'm not sure it did anything for me, unfortunately. ๐Ÿ”ธ#Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiberlash Mascara was sent to me to try/review back when I first opened this IG. Does give more length & volume, but does also clump & fallout easily and take + time/patience to apply. Was fun to try. ๐Ÿ”ธ#Dove Go Fresh body wash in Mandarin & Tiare Flower scent was lovely, smells amazing and was more hydrating than the last scent I tried. Would repurchase. ๐Ÿ˜˜ xoxo

Hello my loves ๐Ÿ’• As promised, here are some of the products I was really diggin' all of September. I do also have a bit of additional info on where to get some of these goodies at a lower cost, which is amazing! Who doesn't love a good deal?! ๐Ÿ˜ป 1โƒฃ First up is the #Tarte Power Couple Blush & Bronzer Duo in the shades Park Ave Princess and Doll Face. This beauty runs for $20 on Tarte's website and is limited edition. I highly recommend this one if you're in the market for something like this. You actually get more product for less money ๐Ÿ‘ 2โƒฃ #UrbanDecay Naked 2 Basics palette which runs for $29 on UD's website, but I found for a couple bucks cheaper on allcosmeticswholesale.com at $26.99 AND they have a bundle deal for the UD Naked 2 Basics + Delux sample of Subversion lash primer + full size Perversion mascara for only $39.99 โœจ 3โƒฃ #NYX lip liner pencil in 808 Deep Purple to vamp up that pout. You can buy these in a bundle of 6 different shades on Amazon for about $10. 4โƒฃ #Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara ๐Ÿ™ I can't say enough good things about this one! Totally does exactly what it says. It's at a holy grail status for me and the best part is that #Walgreens is carrying it for $2.99 AND its on sale for $2.29 at the mo ๐Ÿ‘Œ 5โƒฃ PhysiciansFormula Mineral Glow Pearls in the shade Translucent Pearl. This is a beautifully soft, yet pigmented, highlight that also gives a bit of coverage. Its normally $13.95 on the PF website, but #Ulta has it on sale for $8.39 right now! *They have several drugstore brands for 40% off atm* 6โƒฃ #Rusk Being Sexy Hairspray smells so gooood. It's a clean, yet floral scent that lingers throughout the day ๐Ÿ’— this product has really helped tame my fine hairs without weighing my hair down. 7โƒฃ I got this chunky necklace from #Forever21 for $7.80 as a nod to my British hubby ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง since it has a few pence as charms ๐Ÿ˜Š 8โƒฃ And last but not least one of my favorite reads lately from #PenguinBooks is Hector and the Search for Happiness ๐Ÿ“š It's a sweet light read with a humorous approach to what could be a heavy topic. Can't wait to watch the film! Tag me in your faves, Lovelies! โ˜บ๏ธ ๐Ÿ’‹XOXO
