Hello again! Thanks so much for stopping by :)
I had a particularly large intake of products late in the month (hence my current no-buy waaaahhh) and found it so hard not to include so many more items this month. I decided I should only include the ones I've really gotten to know well so that I can give better reviews in this post. Look out September! Got lots of goodies coming your way ;)
First on the list is a product that I've rediscovered this month. The Ready To Wear Couture Finishing Powder has been in my monthly favorites before and for good reason. It leaves such a radiant, luminous glow to the skin–a trick up my sleeve to boost my complexion game. As you can see in the detail photo below, the pressed powder is made up of several multi-colored speckles. When swirled and applied to skin, these colorful hints not only correct tone, but they literally add a sheer filter to your face, blurring out pores and amping up an overall look of luminosity.
This product is the only Ready To Wear product that I've tried, but I'm excited to pick up some more beauty bits from them in the future. The only place I've ever seen them carried is on the ACW website.
Can you say fall smokey eye? I've talked about the Sephora Colorful Shadow in Red Wine in a past Sephora haul here on the blog. I'm gearing up for autumn full force with this lusty beauty. She's a matte shadow that really brings out the brown in my eyes with it's flattering tones of berry and red.
The wear time is fantastic and the range of colors and finishes available in this line is extensive. I've often seen them on offer as well, so that doesn't hurt either ;)
Oh yeah you've heard of this one all over, I'm sure. As you can certainly tell from the photo, the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso has been my top used blush for time now. I've repurchased this cult favorite too many times to remember over the years for its always appropriate and flattering appeal. It's a gorgeous peachy coral blush with a fine golden sheen throughout. This shade is universally flattering on all skin under tones and looks great paired with just about any makeup look whether it's for day or night.
Marc Jacobs makes some of my favorite fragrances and this one is definitely on that list. The light fruity-floral scent of Oh, Lola! is addicting and I've been wearing it just about every day this past month. I purchased mine from Marshall's for an amazing deal, so definitely check out your local store to save some money.
According to the Marc Jacobs website, the following are the exact notes of this lovely fragrance:
Top Notes: Pear, Effervescent RaspberryMid Notes: Peony, Magnolia, CyclamenBase Notes: Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, Vanilla.
The Elf Beautifully Bare Blending Brush is one of the many products from the brand that leaves me scratching my head. How is it possible to have such a great quality brush, that feels as luxurious as it does, at such an affordable price? This is definitely on my list of suggested must try's from Elf for it's super soft and versatile qualities. Works great at achieving a perfectly blended contour, bronzing, blending, and even foundation when in a pinch. It's a beautiful brush that's exquisitely made.
Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Duo in Date/Fig is my first experience with the brand, but most definitely will not be my last. The first thing that comes to mind in describing my experience is simply wow. The formula of these lipsticks is everything I could ask for! It's moisturizing, dries semi-matte, is long wearing and when it does eventually wear, it does it so elegantly by evenly leaving a stain behind.
I'm in love!
This is quite the hidden gem! The Mad Hippie Eye Cream easily made the cut because of it's naturally based ingredients and the results I've experienced in such a short period of time. Now I will say that I don't yet have deep lines or wrinkles around my eyes, but the fine lines (we all have) can be annoying as we get older.
I've seen the brand Mad Hippie here and there online, but never on shelves in my area, so when I saw that drugstore.com carried a few products and at a discount (at the time) I jumped on it.
I began to notice an improvement in the appearance of my under eye area after the first 5 days as it looked generally plumper and more youthful. It's now been about three weeks and really notice a difference in the amount of fine lines and overall texture of the area. I won't lie, the fact that this product is packed with good-for-you natural ingredients like white tea, chamomile extract, peptides, and vitamins really make me feel good about using the product. Can't wait to try more!
I'm so ready for fall and this Etsy shop has me pumped up! Fiend Boutique is a handcrafted jewelry line inspired by all things horror and fantasy, but it doesn't stop there. They also carry a large variety of pop culture images to choose from. As if there weren't enough eye-catching options offered, there's an image choice for everyone as your own imagination is the limit with their made to order option. This is an amazing feature their creator offers and can imagine it's going to be a hit for meaningful pieces to give around the steadily approaching holidays.
The large oval pendant necklace shown here features one of my favorite artists, Frida Kahlo, and I've been wearing it nonstop. I love it so much! Great quality and great customer service. You have to check them out!
I had mentioned in my last Empties post that I was cheating on my beloved Philosophy Purity Cleansing Oil with the travel sized Boscia MakeUp BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil. The Sephora aisle of doom suckered me into purchasing it, but I can't say I regret it in the least. I've been using it this past month as a pre-cleanse on days I really cake it on and need the extra elbow grease. The oil is gentle, doesn't irritate or congest my skin, and is excellent at removing stubborn eye makeup which = less rubbing the delicate eye area.
All in all, I'd say this product is a great addition to any skincare regime, but especially for us makeup lovers out there. Your makeup is only as good as the skin beneath it, so it's important to properly care for it.
What are some of your favorites this month? Have you rediscovered any products in your collection, or have you fallen hard for a new one? Let me know in the comments.
As always, thanks for taking the time to visit and read my thoughts!
♥ xoxo
