Hola, beauty babes :)

Today I'll be shining a spotlight on the Essence Cosmetics Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara because I think it deserves a lot more hype than it gets credit for. I've received so many compliments on my lashes because of this product and have to gush about it some more on here.

As you probably know by now, my lashes are short, stubby and limp. There are only a few mascaras out there that really seem to make any difference on their own. This is one of them. The mascara wand looks very average with it's long tip and tapered fiber bristles. The seemingly average shape really helps create length and volume in even the tightest of corners, grabbing every lash no matter its natural length.

If you're like me and swear by mascaras such as Jordana's Best Lash Extreme Volume or Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes, this may be one that you'd want to look into as well. The bees wax based formula is a light to medium weighted texture dries quickly, really holding a curl without going flaky throughout the day. It's definitely a formula that gets better with time as it dries, creating loads of buildable volume and length on both top and bottom lashes.

If you're a bit of a chemist that likes to layer different mascaras together, this product plays beautifully with others. It's always the one I choose as a finishing touch for a really wow plumping factor.

Below are a couple of Snapchat selflies to demonstrate the effect:

3 coats of mascara for lots of volume

I honestly only have a handful of mascaras that I deem holy grail status, and this product has quickly elevated itself into one of my top shelf mascara options. Even some of my favorites from Tarte, Covergirl, and Bare Minerals have been left in the dust after using Lash Princess.

Packaging isn't normally something I'm overly fussy about with mascara tubes, but though simple, this tube is well thought out. The mint green design on the wand cap is rubberized, giving you a firm grip and control over the product, the smooth and sleek hourglass bottle fits comfortably in your hand, and the applicator also has an incredibly satisfying click when twisting it closed that will make any beauty junkie weak in the knees.

Essence also has another version with almost identical packaging (black & coral color) called the Lash Princess Volume Mascara. I have yet to try it, but have just purchased it online to see how it measures up to this one. At $4.99, and cruelty free, how could I not?

Essence Cosmetics are available on their websites, Ulta Beauty, and select Target stores. Ulta Beauty also have a Lash Princess Mascara 2 Pack for $7.99 where you can try each of the Lash Princess mascaras for a better value. Both options are only sold in black.

Let me know your thoughts if you've tried either one out! Also, keep those pretty peepers peeled for a comparison review in the future :)

♥ xoxo
